Biography

Dramatic Soprano (Poland)

A graduate of Vocal and Acting Department at the Music Academy in Gdańsk (opera singing, 2004), a graduate of Social Sciences Department at the University of Gdańsk (faculty - Political and Social Sciences, 2002). Educated by, among others, maestra Halina Mickiewicz,
she developed her vocal skills also under the supervision of
prof. Jadwiga Rappe. She has participated in 2nd International Championships for Vocalists conducted by maestro Ronaldo Paneraia in Gdańsk. In 2018 she was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Musical Arts (The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk).

Debuted in the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk (2007) and has been performing there until today. Among the most important roles in her repertoire are: the title role in "Halka "by Stanislaw Moniuszko, Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" by G. Verdi, Abigaille in "Nabucco" by G. Verdi, the title role in "Aida" by G. Verdi and "Tosca" by G. Puccini. Other important roles include: Leonora in "Il trovatore" G. Verdi, the title role in "Turandot" by G. Puccini, Santuzza in "Cavalleria rusticana" by P. Mascagni.

At the beginning of her career, she performed mezzosoprano roles, such as Cześnikowa and Jadwiga in the Polish national opera "The Haunted Manor" by S. Moniuszko, Magdalena in "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi (recording for TV Mezzo 2008). In the following years, she began performing soprano roles, such as the title role in "Halka" by S. Moniuszko, Dama di Lady Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" by G. Verdi, Czipra and Saffi in "Gypsy Baron" by J. Strauss, the title role in "Tosca" by G. Puccini, "Aida" by G. Verdi - to name but a few. She has participated in many opera festivals as well as first performances of opera and classical music works.

Opera is passion. Apart from opera parts and arias from operas by famous world composers, her repertoire also includes operettas, oratories, and songs. She performs both in Poland and abroad, e.g. in Germany, England, and Switzerland.
